Addressing the media ahead of Barcelona’s upcoming home fixture against Rayo Vallecano, Flick underscored the detrimental impact of disputing referees’ decisions. He stated, “It’s disrespectful. For me, it’s like that. But I don’t have to decide (the punishments).” Flick further elaborated on the internal protocols, highlighting that only the team captain is authorized to engage in discussions with the referee. “We have one person on the pitch who is allowed to discuss with the referee, and that is the captain. We have to accept that,” he added.
