Alimosho Old Students Donate Furniture to Alma Mater, Improve Learning Environment

Former students of Alimosho Senior Grammar School have come together to give back to their alma mater by donating essential furniture to enhance the learning environment for current students. The initiative, led by the school’s alumni association, aims to address the long-standing issue of inadequate classroom furniture, which has affected students’ comfort and academic performance.

During the donation event, representatives of the alumni association emphasized the importance of contributing to the development of educational institutions. They highlighted that many students in public schools struggle with poor infrastructure, making learning more challenging. By providing desks and chairs, the group hopes to improve students’ concentration and overall academic experience.

School authorities expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, noting that the intervention would go a long way in bridging infrastructural gaps. The principal of Alimosho Senior Grammar School acknowledged the alumni’s efforts, stating that the donation was timely, given the increasing student population and the strain on available resources. He encouraged other well-meaning individuals and organizations to support the school in similar ways.

Students who benefited from the donation were visibly excited, expressing gratitude to the alumni for their generosity. Some recounted past difficulties of having to share desks or sit on makeshift furniture, which often disrupted lessons. With the new furniture in place, they anticipate a more conducive learning atmosphere that will enhance their academic performance.

The alumni association reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the school through further interventions. Members pledged to embark on additional projects, including the renovation of classrooms, provision of learning materials, and mentorship programs to inspire current students. They also urged other former students to contribute towards sustaining the institution’s legacy of excellence.

This initiative underscores the critical role alumni can play in uplifting educational institutions, particularly in public schools where funding and resources are often limited. By investing in the next generation, the former students of Alimosho Senior Grammar School have set a commendable example of community-driven educational development.
